How do I connect Finaxis to Odoo?

The connection is made directly from Finaxis. For Odoo Online and Odoo.sh, we use OAuth in a few clicks. For Odoo Community or self-hosted Enterprise, we use an API key generated from your user settings. Either way, it's under 15 minutes — no code, no IT involvement.

Does Finaxis modify my Odoo data?

Finaxis runs in complementary mode. Read-only by default on your Accounting, CRM, Sales, Project, and Inventory modules. Writes are limited and audited — only for the follow-up actions you've approved (notes, activities, communication logs). Your Odoo stays clean.

Will my customers know I'm using Finaxis?

No. Every communication goes out under your company's name, email, and voice. Your customers only see your brand — Finaxis stays invisible behind the scenes.

Does Finaxis replace Odoo's native account_followup module?

No. Your reminder levels, templates, and scheduled activities in account_followup stay untouched. Finaxis layers on top as an intelligence layer: the AI proposes follow-ups enriched by cross-module context, but your native module stays active as a safety net. Your accountants don't lose any of their bearings.

How does Finaxis use the other Odoo modules (CRM, Sales, Project)?

We cross-reference in real time data from CRM (customer segment, open opportunity, last sales interaction), Sales (active quotes, account expansion, order history), Project (active delivery, milestone to validate), and Accounting (payment history, partially paid invoices). The tone, channel, and timing of every follow-up adapt to that context. A customer with an active delivery doesn't get the same message as one whose quote was just rejected.

What happens if a customer pays while a follow-up sequence is in progress?

Finaxis listens to Odoo bank reconciliation. As soon as a payment is reconciled with an invoice, the active sequence for that invoice is instantly suspended — automatically, without your team's involvement. No more dry follow-up sent Monday morning to a customer who paid Saturday.

Is my data secure?

Yes, we are CASA Tier 2 certified. All data is hosted in Canada (Quebec Law 25 compliance), encrypted end-to-end, and protected by OAuth 2.0 (Online / .sh) or by a rotatable API key (Community / self-hosted Enterprise).

Does Finaxis work with Odoo Community or self-hosted Enterprise?

Yes. Finaxis is compatible with Odoo Online, Odoo.sh, self-hosted Odoo Enterprise, and self-hosted Odoo Community (v15 and higher). For versions earlier than v15, a CSV import is available and custom connectors can be developed as needed — contact our sales team to assess your configuration.

How long until I see results after connecting?

Connecting Odoo and the initial sync usually takes under 15 minutes. If you use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace (Gmail), you can also connect your inbox in the same flow and send a first follow-up in copilot mode within those 15 minutes. Response-rate improvements typically show after 30 days of use, and you should expect about 90 days to reach a 15-25% reduction in your overall DSO.
