1. Connector installation on your server
Our team remotely installs the Acomba connector on the machine where Acomba X runs. About ten minutes. No complex network adjustments required in most cases.
2. OAuth authentication in Finaxis
You link the connector to your Finaxis account by clicking a secure link. No Acomba password is shared. The link takes about 5 minutes.
3. First sync and AI training
The connector sends your invoice and customer history to Finaxis. The predictive model trains on your real payment behaviours. Allow 30 to 90 minutes depending on volume.
4. Activating automatic follow-ups
You validate the AI-suggested follow-up sequences and turn on automation. From that point, Finaxis runs invoicing and collections without any work in Acomba.

Do we need to install something on the server where Acomba is installed?
Yes. Since Acomba is 100% local, we install a small signed connector on the same machine or server that runs Acomba X. The operation takes about 10 minutes and is done by our team remotely.
Does Acomba have to stay open during sync?
No. The connector runs in the background and doesn't need Acomba to be launched. Your users can keep working in Acomba without any interference with the Finaxis sync.
What happens if our Acomba server is restarted or offline between two syncs?
The connector automatically resumes at the next sync window once the server is back online. No data is lost: Acomba remains the source of truth and the connector catches up at the next sync.
How do I force an immediate sync without waiting for the next hour?
The Finaxis settings panel includes a "sync now" button. This is the mode we recommend to most of our clients: you keep control over exactly when data is refreshed.
Does the integration work if our employees use Acomba on multiple networked workstations?
Yes. The connector is installed only once on the server or main machine that hosts the Acomba database. The number of networked Acomba workstations has no impact on how sync works.
Sync is one-way: can we still create invoices from Finaxis?
The data flow goes from Acomba to Finaxis only, which guarantees that Acomba stays your accounting source of truth. You keep issuing invoices in Acomba as before. Finaxis then takes over for delivery, follow-ups, and statements.
What sync frequency above once an hour is available?
Hourly sync is included by default. A faster frequency (e.g. every 15 minutes or near real-time) is available as an option. Most of our clients prefer the on-demand mode via the manual sync button.
Will my customers know I'm using Finaxis?
No. Every communication goes out under your company's name, email, and voice. Your customers only see your brand — Finaxis stays invisible behind the scenes.
Can I review messages before they're sent?
Yes. You can approve every message manually or let Finaxis send automatically based on your rules. You stay in full control at all times.
